R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Molly Smith has ably served her fellow Texans as an |
|
|
aide in the office of State Representative J. D. Sheffield during |
|
|
the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Smith has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Smith is a senior at Texas A&M University where |
|
|
she is majoring in history and international studies; during the |
|
|
summer of 2014, she studied abroad in Germany, and she has been |
|
|
employed at the Maps and GIS Library at TAMU since 2012; |
|
|
additionally, she is a member of the TAMU quidditch team, an |
|
|
intramural sports club that also carries out volunteer work in the |
|
|
community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Molly Smith for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative J. D. |
|
|
Sheffield and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Smith as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
