R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Sixth-graders from Kountze Intermediate School |
|
|
distinguished themselves with their performance at the Texas Math |
|
|
and Science Coaches Association Middle School Championship Meet on |
|
|
April 11, 2015, capturing first place in general mathematics; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against sixth-graders from 14 other 3A |
|
|
schools at The University of Texas at San Antonio, the members of |
|
|
the Kountze squad combined scores to bring home the title in the |
|
|
general mathematics category; the school was led by Jaythan Davis, |
|
|
who posted a perfect score, and they also received vital |
|
|
contributions from team members Seth Mehl, Eddie Powell, Raven |
|
|
Roberts, Leigh Eppes, and Zoey Helegeda; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Kountze Intermediate team was guided at the meet |
|
|
by teacher and sponsor Sheila LeBlanc, who inspired the students to |
|
|
perform at their full potential; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the Middle School |
|
|
Championship Meet, these bright young Texans have brought great |
|
|
credit to their school, and they may take justifiable pride in the |
|
|
skill and dedication they have demonstrated; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the students from Kountze |
|
|
Intermediate School on their performance at the Texas Math and |
|
|
Science Coaches Association Middle School Championship Meet and |
|
|
extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
