R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Katlin Kerl, a senior at Silsbee High School, has |
|
|
signed a national letter of intent to play softball and study at San |
|
|
Jacinto College; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Roger and Carol Wilson, Ms. Kerl has |
|
|
lettered for four years as a catcher on the Lady Tigers softball |
|
|
team; she was awarded a full scholarship to attend SJC after an |
|
|
outstanding senior campaign in which she compiled a .409 batting |
|
|
average, 22 stolen bases, and 14 runs batted in; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning well-deserved recognition for her inspired |
|
|
play on the diamond, Ms. Kerl was named the district's Newcomer of |
|
|
the Year in 2012 for her impressive freshman season, and she has |
|
|
been selected to the All-District 21-3A softball team on three |
|
|
occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Katlin Kerl has pursued her goals with remarkable |
|
|
drive and an enduring commitment to excellence, and she may take |
|
|
great pride in all that she has accomplished as she looks ahead to a |
|
|
future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Katlin Kerl on signing a national |
|
|
letter of intent to play for the San Jacinto College softball team |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Kerl as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
