R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Justin Atkinson has ably served his fellow Texans as |
|
|
a communications assistant in the office of State Representative |
|
|
Mary González during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Atkinson has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Randy and Karen Atkinson, Mr. Atkinson is |
|
|
a second-year government student and a 2016 Archer Fellow at The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin; in addition to his scholarly |
|
|
achievements, he has served his peers as an orientation advisor and |
|
|
as a reporter and editor for The Daily Texan; he plans to pursue a |
|
|
career in social justice advocacy, law, and government |
|
|
administration; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Justin Atkinson has performed his duties as a |
|
|
communications assistant with skill and dedication, and he is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Justin Atkinson for his service as a |
|
|
communications assistant in the office of State Representative Mary |
|
|
González and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Atkinson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
