R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Three members of the Kirbyville High School tennis |
|
|
team distinguished themselves with their outstanding performance |
|
|
at the Spring Regional Tennis Tournament at A&M Consolidated High |
|
|
School in College Station on April 20-21, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Dominique Leh captured second place in girls' |
|
|
singles competition, and the duo of Trenton Slaughter and Dennis |
|
|
Leh finished third in boys' doubles, qualifying the three athletes |
|
|
to participate in the University Interscholastic League state |
|
|
tournament; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the Spring Regional |
|
|
Tennis Tournament, these talented young Texans have brought credit |
|
|
to their school, and they may take justifiable pride in the skill |
|
|
and dedication they have demonstrated; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Dominique Leh, Trenton Slaughter, |
|
|
and Dennis Leh on qualifying for the UIL state tennis tournament and |
|
|
extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
|
for the athletes as an expression of high regard by the Texas House |
|
|
of Representatives. |
