R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ronnie's BBQ of Johnson City brought its savory |
|
|
specialties to the State Capitol during the 84th Legislative |
|
|
Session as one of the featured restaurants for "Bar-B-Quesday"; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Hosted on Tuesdays by State Representative Jason |
|
|
Isaac, this popular event provides a showcase for some of the finest |
|
|
barbecue establishments from House District 45; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ronnie's BBQ is owned by Ronnie and Cindy |
|
|
Weiershausen, who offer a range of smoked meats and side orders at |
|
|
their restaurant on U.S. Highway 281 in Johnson City; Mr. |
|
|
Weiershausen handles all of the cooking himself, with Mrs. |
|
|
Weiershausen, their daughter, and employee Jessica Moore assisting |
|
|
in the operation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Texas barbecue is renowned across the nation and |
|
|
around the world, and this proud culinary tradition is maintained |
|
|
and enriched by outstanding Central Texas businesses such as |
|
|
Ronnie's BBQ; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Ronnie's BBQ for its participation in |
|
|
Bar-B-Quesday and extend sincere best wishes to the business for |
|
|
continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ronnie's BBQ as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
