R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Richard Gil Tubb has greatly benefited his fellow
  Tyler County residents through his civic leadership; and
         WHEREAS, For more than a decade, Mr. Tubb has served as
  president of the Tyler County Industrial Corporation, and he was
  previously secretary of the organization for 17 years; he has been
  highly involved in its efforts to attract companies and industry,
  and during his tenure, German Pellets chose Woodville as the site of
  its first United States plant; moreover, he worked closely with
  both the Industrial Corporation and the Chamber of Commerce to
  bring the Gib Lewis Prison Unit to the area; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Tubb also serves on the board of the Tyler
  County Hospital Foundation, and he has served for more than 20 years
  as president of the Tyler County Appraisal District; and
         WHEREAS, Although Mr. Tubb was born in Dayton, Ohio, and grew
  up on the East Coast, his family has lived in Woodville for more
  than a century; he moved to the city in 1967 and became involved in
  the family business and in the community; and
         WHEREAS, Gil Tubb has contributed significantly to the
  prosperity of Tyler County through his dedicated endeavors, and he
  may take justifiable pride in his accomplishments; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Gil Tubb for his service to Tyler County
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be
  it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Tubb as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
