R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Six members of the Rotary Club of Waco celebrated 50 |
|
|
years with the organization in 2014 and 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Guided by the motto "Service Above Self," the Rotary |
|
|
Club of Waco is composed of neighbors, friends, and civic leaders |
|
|
who work to create positive, lasting change in the community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Noley Bice and Floyd Jensen joined the Waco Rotary |
|
|
in 1964, while Mark Deering, John Dietz, David Dow, and Wilton |
|
|
Lanning Jr. became members in 1965; Monsignor Mark Deering was also |
|
|
recognized for 50 years of perfect attendance; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These outstanding Rotarians have contributed to |
|
|
their fellow citizens through a lifetime of purposeful endeavor |
|
|
and, in so doing, they have set an inspiring example of compassion |
|
|
and generosity toward others; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Noley Bice, Floyd Jensen, Mark |
|
|
Deering, John Dietz, David Dow, and Wilton Lanning Jr. on their 50 |
|
|
years of membership with the Rotary Club of Waco and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
|
for Mr. Bice, Mr. Jensen, Monsignor Deering, Mr. Dietz, Mr. Dow, |
|
|
and Mr. Lanning as an expression of high regard by the Texas House |
|
|
of Representatives. |
