R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Karla Rios has ably served her fellow Texans as an |
|
|
intern in the office of State Representative Dan Huberty during the |
|
|
84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Rios has provided vital |
|
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks, |
|
|
including reading, analyzing, and researching bills and addressing |
|
|
the needs of constituents; in addition to learning more about the |
|
|
legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone Star |
|
|
State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of public |
|
|
service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Ricardo and Claudia |
|
|
Rios, Ms. Rios is a junior at The University of Texas at Austin, |
|
|
where she is pursuing a degree in social work and government and is |
|
|
active in the Longhorn Band, the Mariachi Ensemble, and Tau Beta |
|
|
Sigma; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Karla Rios for her service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Dan |
|
|
Huberty and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Rios as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
