R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Katrina Wilkinson has ably served her fellow Texans |
|
|
as an aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu during the |
|
|
84th Legislative Session; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Wilkinson has provided |
|
|
vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; |
|
|
in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |
|
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; as a part of her |
|
|
duties, she has assisted with administrative functions, reviewed |
|
|
legislation on house calendars, and worked on a criminal |
|
|
jurisprudence bill that has been part of Representative Wu's |
|
|
legislative agenda; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Hurst, Ms. Wilkinson is a 2014 graduate |
|
|
of L. D. Bell High School, where she earned an International |
|
|
Baccalaureate Diploma; while a student in high school, she was a |
|
|
member of the National Honor Society as well as a recipient of an AP |
|
|
Scholar award; Ms. Wilkinson is currently pursuing her education at |
|
|
The University of Texas at Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Katrina Wilkinson for her service as a |
|
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
|
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wilkinson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
