R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Texas Heritage National Bank celebrated the 125th
  anniversary of its founding in 2014, and its locations in
  Daingerfield, Omaha, Ore City, and Sulphur Springs commemorated
  this noteworthy milestone throughout the month of May; and
         WHEREAS, On the first day of May in 1889, nine citizens of
  Daingerfield pooled their capital and formed the Bank of
  Daingerfield, with total assets of $26,000; three years later, the
  bank received a national charter and was renamed the National Bank
  of Daingerfield; and
         WHEREAS, Over the next century, the bank's assets grew to $43
  million; after a series of acquisitions and expansions, new
  branches were established in Omaha, Ore City, and Sulphur Springs,
  and the bank became Texas Heritage National Bank; and
         WHEREAS, In 2014, THNB had $110 million in assets and a
  diversified loan portfolio of $80 million; under the leadership of
  chair John Bryan, vice chair Danny Bockmon, and CEO and president
  Dwyatt Bell, THNB continues to thrive as a community bank,
  providing financial support and services to families, businesses,
  farmers, and ranchers; and
         WHEREAS, Locally owned financial institutions play a vital
  role in the economy and culture of Texas, and by carrying on its
  proud traditions of meeting the needs of its customers and serving
  the community, Texas Heritage National Bank is indeed deserving of
  special recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 125th anniversary of Texas
  Heritage National Bank and extend to all those associated with the
  bank sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the bank as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
