R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A 100th birthday is indeed cause for celebration,
  and Bessie Justiss Cason of Winnsboro marked this significant
  milestone in her life on February 7, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, The former Bessie Justiss was born in Snow Hill in
  1915 to Una Joe and Willie Lowe Justiss, and she grew up with 11
  siblings on her family's farm in Morris County; she graduated from
  Daingerfield High School in 1935 and went on to attend Abilene
  Christian College; during World War II, she helped keep the Justiss
  farm operational by driving to Dallas, Shreveport, Tyler, and
  Longview to collect supplies; and
         WHEREAS, She married Eugene Cason in 1946, and the couple
  were blessed with three children, Lowe Ann, Carolyn, and Scott;
  they lived in Daingerfield until 1958, when they moved to Atlanta,
  Texas, for Mr. Cason's work; after retirement, she and her husband
  enjoyed traveling with Mrs. Cason's brothers and sisters to such
  varied destinations as the Arctic Circle and Mexico; and
         WHEREAS, Currently, Mrs. Cason resides in Winnsboro, and she
  looks forward to the annual family reunion at Caddo Lake; she
  delights in spending time with her loved ones, for whom she is a
  source of great wisdom and joy; and
         WHEREAS, Meeting life's challenges with resilience,
  optimism, and determination, Bessie Cason has gracefully reached
  the century mark and continues to enrich the lives of all who are
  fortunate enough to know her; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Bessie Justiss Cason on her 100th
  birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Cason as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
