R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Chris Bookman and Dylan Walker of SnapBrothers |
|
|
Productions were recognized for the second consecutive year at the |
|
|
2015 Tongies award ceremony, conducted in Los Angeles on March 5; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Established in 2014 by Tongal, a community-sourced |
|
|
platform for creative content, the annual Tongies acknowledge |
|
|
excellence in the work produced by participants for global video |
|
|
campaigns promoting brands, film studios, and musical artists; the |
|
|
winners are selected by Tongal members and fans through an online |
|
|
voting process; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, SnapBrothers Productions received the 2015 Best |
|
|
Original Song award for its tune advertising Miller Lite beer, "For |
|
|
Lite, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness"; the company was also |
|
|
nominated for Best Tonglar of the Year and Best Gig Video; in 2014, |
|
|
SnapBrothers brought home the Best Original Song trophy for "The |
|
|
Fruit Will Set You Free," composed for a Welch's Fruit Snacks |
|
|
commercial; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through their talent, hard work, and creativity, |
|
|
Chris Bookman and Dylan Walker have gained national attention for |
|
|
their company, and they may take justifiable pride in their |
|
|
accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Chris Bookman and Dylan Walker of |
|
|
SnapBrothers Productions on their second consecutive Tongie award |
|
|
and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared |
|
|
for Mr. Bookman and Mr. Walker as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
