R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Logan Lockwood of Van High School garnered |
|
|
well-deserved recognition for his performance at the 2015 |
|
|
University Interscholastic League Boys' Golf State Tournament, |
|
|
held April 27-28 in Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against other top Texas 4A high school |
|
|
golfers at Onion Creek Golf Club, Mr. Lockwood posted rounds of 73 |
|
|
and 77 to finish in a tie for fourth place with a two-day total of |
|
|
150 strokes; he secured his trip to state with an impressive showing |
|
|
at the Region 2-4A tournament in Canton, where he shot back-to-back |
|
|
rounds of 67 to win the regional crown by 6 strokes; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through hard work and determination, this talented |
|
|
student-athlete has earned a place among the Lone Star State's top |
|
|
4A golfers, and he may indeed take justifiable pride in his |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Logan Lockwood on his success at |
|
|
the 2015 UIL Boys' Golf State Tournament and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Lockwood as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
