R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During the 84th Texas Legislature, Johnathan Simcha
  Weisfeld-Hinojosa has ably served his fellow Texans in the office
  of State Representative Bobby Guerra through the Rio Grande Valley
  Legislative Internship Program; and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by State Representative Terry Canales and
  The University of Texas-Pan American Foundation, the program
  provides a unique opportunity for students from the Rio Grande
  Valley to serve as interns in the Texas Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Weisfeld-Hinojosa is a senior at UTPA, working
  toward his bachelor of arts in political science and a double minor
  in music and legal studies; he has been a senator in the Student
  Government Association, and he is the founder and president of
  Broncs for Israel and Hillel, the AIPAC campus liaison, and the vice
  president of Young Democrats; a graduate of McAllen High School, he
  is an Eagle Scout and a former student instructor for Jon
  D. Williams Cotillions; and
         WHEREAS, This impressive young man has performed his duties
  as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he has gained
  valuable work experience in the field of public service while
  learning more about the legislative process and the issues facing
  the citizens of the Lone Star State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Johnathan Simcha Weisfeld-Hinojosa for
  his service in the office of State Representative Bobby Guerra as a
  participant in the Rio Grande Valley Legislative Internship Program
  and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all
  his future endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Weisfeld-Hinojosa as an expression of high regard
  by the Texas House of Representatives.
