R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Mozelle Jordan Blair of Dallas on May 3, 2015, at the age
  of 90; and
         WHEREAS, Mozelle Blair was born in Ennis on April 3, 1925, to
  Felix and Etta Jordan; she attended Dallas Independent School
  District schools during her childhood, and she was a popular
  student at Booker T. Washington High; she married her high school
  sweetheart, William Blair, and the couple were blessed with seven
  children, William, Jordan, Debra, Michelle, Robert, Terri, and
  Darryl, as well as 36 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Blair operated a successful catering company
  with the help of her family for many years, earning loyal customers
  across the Metroplex and passing on valuable lessons of
  entrepreneurship to her children; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of deep faith, she was a longtime congregant
  of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, and she proudly
  served as "Mother of the Church" at Color Blind/Anointed Ministries
  in Como; and
         WHEREAS, While the death of Mozelle Blair brings great
  sadness to her loved ones, she leaves behind a legacy that will long
  be treasured by all those who held her dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Mozelle Blair and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  children, Debra Abron and her husband, Vernon, Michelle Gilstrap
  and her husband, Paul, Robert Blair, Terri Lynch, and Darryl Blair
  and his wife, Lorie; to her daughters-in-law, Muriel Hatcher and
  Brenda Blair; to her 36 grandchildren and her 42
  great-grandchildren; to her stepmother, Lillian Jordan; to her
  stepsisters, Robbie Jordan and Stacy Brownfield; and to her other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mozelle
  Jordan Blair.
