R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Celeste Escutia is graduating as the salutatorian of |
|
the senior class of Collegiate High School in Corpus Christi in |
|
2015; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Escutia has demonstrated a |
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her |
|
favorite being math; in addition, she participated in numerous |
|
extracurricular activities, including Del Mar Dance Ensemble and |
|
the yearbook; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Jorge and Lucila Escutia, |
|
Ms. Escutia plans to continue her education by enrolling at Texas |
|
A&M University--Corpus Christi to study accounting; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Celeste Escutia has |
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates, |
|
and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment |
|
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for |
|
this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Celeste Escutia, salutatorian of |
|
the Class of 2015 at Collegiate High School in Corpus Christi, and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Escutia as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
