R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Derek Franklin Flores is graduating as the |
|
|
salutatorian of the senior class of Robstown High School in 2015; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Mr. Flores has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with his favorites being |
|
|
mathematics and science; in addition, he participated in numerous |
|
|
extracurricular activities, including SkillsUSA, UIL competitions, |
|
|
and National Honor Society; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Frank and Mary Flores, Mr. Flores plans |
|
|
to continue his education by enrolling at Texas A&M |
|
|
University--Kingsville to study chemical engineering; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Derek Franklin |
|
|
Flores has earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Derek Franklin Flores, |
|
|
salutatorian of the Class of 2015 at Robstown High School, and |
|
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins |
|
|
the next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Flores as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
