R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Ryan Butler is graduating as the salutatorian of the |
|
senior class of W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi in 2015; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; Mr. Butler has demonstrated a thorough |
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with his favorites being |
|
mathematics, science, music, history, and English; in addition, he |
|
participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including |
|
robotics, piano, and UIL competitions; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Richard Butler and Mara Schechter Butler, |
|
Mr. Butler plans to continue his education by enrolling at Cornell |
|
University to study electrical and computer engineering; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Ryan Butler has |
|
earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and classmates, |
|
and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment |
|
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for |
|
this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ryan Butler, salutatorian of the |
|
Class of 2015 at W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, and extend |
|
to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins the |
|
next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Butler as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
