R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Nathan Strong and Carlee Sweeten of Leggett High |
|
|
School have earned well-deserved recognition by qualifying to |
|
|
compete at the 2015 University Interscholastic League Academic |
|
|
State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In order to qualify, the pair turned in outstanding |
|
|
performances at the regional event; there, Ms. Sweeten captured the |
|
|
regional championship in literary criticism and Mr. Strong placed |
|
|
fifth in informative speaking; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through their participation in UIL academics, these |
|
|
talented young Texans have demonstrated great initiative and |
|
|
ability, and they each may indeed look forward to a future bright |
|
|
with promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Nathan Strong and Carlee Sweeten on |
|
|
qualifying for the UIL Academic State Meet and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success. |
