R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Phillip Galligan is graduating as the salutatorian |
|
of the senior class of the Harold T. Branch Academy for Career and |
|
Technical Education in Corpus Christi in 2015; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; Mr. Galligan has demonstrated a |
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with his |
|
favorites being computer maintenance, networking, and theatre; in |
|
addition, he participated in numerous extracurricular activities, |
|
including CompTIA Certification and SkillsUSA; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of James Galligan, Mr. Galligan plans to |
|
continue his education by enrolling at Texas A&M University--Corpus |
|
Christi to study computer science; and |
|
WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Phillip Galligan |
|
has earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and |
|
classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and |
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Phillip Galligan, salutatorian of |
|
the Class of 2015 at the Harold T. Branch Academy for Career and |
|
Technical Education in Corpus Christi, and extend to him sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success as he begins the next exciting |
|
chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Galligan as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
