R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Victoria L. Wahlen is graduating as the salutatorian |
|
|
of the senior class of Calallen High School in Corpus Christi in |
|
|
2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Wahlen has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being |
|
|
mathematics and science; in addition, she participated in numerous |
|
|
extracurricular activities, including National Honor Society, |
|
|
student council, and the Girl Scouts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Michael and Malynn Wahlen, |
|
|
Ms. Wahlen plans to continue her education by enrolling at The |
|
|
University of Texas at San Antonio to study mechanical engineering; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Victoria L. Wahlen |
|
|
has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Victoria L. Wahlen, salutatorian |
|
|
of the Class of 2015 at Calallen High School in Corpus Christi, and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wahlen as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
