R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Amy Griffiths is graduating as the valedictorian of
  the senior class of W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi in 2015;
  and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; Ms. Griffiths has demonstrated a
  thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her
  favorites being mathematics, science, art, and dance; in addition,
  she participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including
  Key Club, student council, and National Honor Society; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Laura and Hugh Griffiths,
  Ms. Griffiths plans to continue her education by enrolling at Rice
  University to study civil engineering; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Amy Griffiths has
  earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates,
  and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment
  to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for
  this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Amy Griffiths, valedictorian of
  the Class of 2015 at W. B. Ray High School in Corpus Christi, and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
  begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Griffiths as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
