R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Katie Elaine Becker is graduating as the |
|
|
valedictorian of the senior class of Bishop High School in 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Becker has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being |
|
|
mathematics and science; in addition, she participated in numerous |
|
|
extracurricular activities, including National Honor Society, FFA, |
|
|
and UIL academics; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Craig and Missy Becker, Ms. Becker |
|
|
plans to continue her education by enrolling at Texas A&M |
|
|
University--Kingsville to study chemical engineering; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Katie Elaine Becker |
|
|
has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Katie Elaine Becker, valedictorian |
|
|
of the Class of 2015 at Bishop High School, and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next |
|
|
exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Becker as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
