R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Katie Elaine Becker is graduating as the
  valedictorian of the senior class of Bishop High School in 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; Ms. Becker has demonstrated a thorough
  understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being
  mathematics and science; in addition, she participated in numerous
  extracurricular activities, including National Honor Society, FFA,
  and UIL academics; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Craig and Missy Becker, Ms. Becker
  plans to continue her education by enrolling at Texas A&M
  University--Kingsville to study chemical engineering; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Katie Elaine Becker
  has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and
  classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and
  commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
  opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Katie Elaine Becker, valedictorian
  of the Class of 2015 at Bishop High School, and extend to her
  sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next
  exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Becker as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
