R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Makenzie Wright is graduating as the valedictorian |
|
|
of the senior class of Banquete High School in 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Wright has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being |
|
|
mathematics and animal science; in addition, she participated in |
|
|
numerous extracurricular activities, including National Honor |
|
|
Society, student council, and the volleyball team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Tracy and Julie Wright, Ms. Wright |
|
|
plans to continue her education by enrolling at Texas A&M |
|
|
University to study agriculture business and communication; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Makenzie Wright has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates, |
|
|
and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for |
|
|
this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Makenzie Wright, valedictorian of |
|
|
the Class of 2015 at Banquete High School, and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting |
|
|
chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wright as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
