R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Kristina Correa is graduating as the valedictorian |
|
|
of the senior class of Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi |
|
|
in 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Correa has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being |
|
|
biology, chemistry, English, and calculus; in addition, she |
|
|
participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including |
|
|
academic decathlon, International Thespian Society, and the |
|
|
KEDT-TV Challenge! Team; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Vicky Correa, Ms. Correa plans to |
|
|
continue her education by enrolling at Stanford University to study |
|
|
biology; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Kristina Correa has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates, |
|
|
and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment |
|
|
to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for |
|
|
this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kristina Correa, valedictorian of |
|
|
the Class of 2015 at Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus Christi, |
|
|
and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Correa as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
