R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Terry Enloe has been appointed chief of police for
  Magnolia, and he is to begin serving the city on May 1, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding Texan started his career in law
  enforcement in 1975 as a deputy with the Harris County Sheriff's
  Office; over the years, he gained extensive experience in a wide
  range of areas, serving as a master patrolman, shift coordinator,
  sergeant, lieutenant, captain, and major; at his retirement in
  2008, he was the third-ranking official in the department and had
  the responsibility of overseeing 726 employees and a $48.7 million
  budget; and
         WHEREAS, Chief Enloe, who holds bachelor's degrees in
  psychology and law enforcement, continued to work part-time with
  Harris County in crisis counseling and intensive outpatient
  programs following his retirement, and he has led classes to train
  combat veterans and first responders in law enforcement techniques;
  and
         WHEREAS, Terry Enloe has demonstrated exceptional commitment
  to the safety and well-being of his fellow citizens throughout his
  career, and he has earned widespread respect for his dedication to
  duty and his many achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Terry Enloe on his appointment as
  chief of police of the Magnolia Police Department and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for success in his new post; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Chief Enloe as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
