R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The members of the Gold-Burg High School academic
  social studies team captured first place at the University
  Interscholastic League Region 3-1A Academic Meet on April 25, 2015;
  and
         WHEREAS, Competing at Tarleton State University, the
  Gold-Burg students defeated eight other teams from area schools to
  win their event and secure a spot at the UIL Academic State Meet;
  leading the way was Hance Willingham, who placed first in the
  individual standings; and
         WHEREAS, Also contributing to the team's triumph were Chelsea
  Gerlach, Rachael Tinerella, and Shelby Horton; moreover, these
  bright young Texans received essential guidance from coach David
  Willingham; and
         WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the regional meet, the
  members of the Gold-Burg High School academics social studies team
  have brought credit to their school, and they may take justifiable
  pride in the skill and dedication they have demonstrated; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Gold-Burg High School academic
  social studies team on its performance at the UIL Region 3-1A
  Academic Meet and extend to the students and coaches sincere best
  wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
