R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Brother Cletus Behlmann is being recognized for his
  notable accomplishments by the Westside Development Corporation at
  the organization's 2015 Westside Honors Exitos en Nuestro Barrio
  Gala, taking place in San Antonio on May 21; and
         WHEREAS, Selected as the arts and culture honoree, Brother
  Cletus is a Marianist brother, and he taught for 19 years before
  joining St. Mary's University Art Center in 1977; he chairs the
  institution's Fine Arts Committee and serves as director and
  artist-in-residence at the center, where he gives demonstrations
  and teaches; and
         WHEREAS, Brother Cletus studied at the Chicago Institute of
  Art and at Washington University in St. Louis; an exceptionally
  versatile and prolific artist, he makes time amid his myriad
  responsibilities to create beautiful pieces in a variety of media,
  including metal, acrylics, watercolor, batik, pastels, stained
  glass, ceramics, handmade paper, and crayon; his work is widely
  admired for its deeply spiritual quality; and
         WHEREAS, Brother Cletus Behlmann has made a meaningful
  difference in the community through his worthwhile endeavors, and
  he is indeed deserving of this significant accolade; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Brother Cletus Behlmann on his
  recognition by the Westside Development Corporation at the 2015
  Westside Honors Exitos en Nuestro Barrio Gala and extend to him
  sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Brother Cletus Behlmann as an expression of high
  regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
