R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Bennie M. Hyde of Kerrville on May 4, 2015, at the age of
  80; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Kerrville to Benjamin and Viola Hyde on
  April 9, 1935, Bennie Hyde graduated from Tivy High School in 1953;
  he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served his country for nearly
  a quarter-century, spending much of his time overseas and rising to
  the rank of senior master sergeant; after retiring from the
  military, he earned an associate's degree in electrical engineering
  and worked for 15 years at the Y12 Atomic Research Center; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Hyde was a devout Christian and a valued
  congregant at First Baptist Church in Kerrville; active in his
  community, he was a Master Mason and a member of the Grand
  Commandery Knights Templar of Texas; he also participated in the
  Hill Country Veterans Council; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Hyde enjoyed the love and
  support of his wife, Mallie, with whom he shared more than five
  decades, and he took great pride in his children, Eva, Jason, and
  Donna, and his granddaughter, Danielle; and
         WHEREAS, Dedicated to his family, his faith, and his country,
  Bennie Hyde earned the respect and admiration of all who were
  privileged to know him, and he leaves behind a record of service
  that his loved ones can remember with pride; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bennie M. Hyde and
  extend sincere condolences to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Mallie Hyde; to his children, Eva Hyde, Jason Hyde and his
  wife, Dana, and Donna Hyde; to his granddaughter, Danielle Hyde; to
  his brother, John Hyde, and his wife, Gina; to his stepsister, Joan
  Taylor; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bennie
  M. Hyde.
