R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Julie Priego of El Paso has deservedly been selected |
|
as the 2015 Texas Prevention Specialist of the Year by the Texas |
|
Certification Board of Addiction Professionals; and |
|
WHEREAS, The TCBAP administers licensure and certification |
|
exams and standardizes the qualifications of those working in areas |
|
of addiction counseling, clinical supervision, and prevention |
|
throughout the Lone Star State; each year, the board pays tribute to |
|
a notable individual who has made outstanding contributions in the |
|
field; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Priego has built an exemplary 16-year career in |
|
substance abuse prevention and intervention, and she currently |
|
serves as divisional director of the nonprofit Aliviane, Inc., a |
|
primary provider of prevention and treatment services; in that |
|
role, she recommends policies and reviews proposals for the |
|
organization, and she has helped establish programs at the local, |
|
state, national, and international levels; and |
|
WHEREAS, Highly regarded for her extensive expertise, |
|
dedication, and compassion, Julie Priego has made a meaningful |
|
difference in the lives of many people, and her exceptional |
|
accomplishments are truly worthy of commendation; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Julie Priego on being named the |
|
2015 Texas Prevention Specialist of the Year by the Texas |
|
Certification Board of Addiction Professionals and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Priego as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
