R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Michael Julian has been named salutatorian of the |
|
Class of 2015 at Sharpstown High School in Houston, and he indeed |
|
merits special recognition for receiving this significant honor; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; in securing his place as one of the two |
|
top ranking students in his class, Mr. Julian demonstrated a |
|
thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his |
|
attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement |
|
of a notable high school career; and |
|
WHEREAS, In addition to his academic success, Mr. Julian has |
|
contributed his time and energy to such school activities as the |
|
Sollopa Dnab marching band and the theater club; moreover, he is a |
|
member of the NASA Texas High School Aerospace Scholars and the |
|
EMERGE Fellowship Program; after graduation, he plans to pursue a |
|
degree in aeronautical engineering at Purdue University or the Olin |
|
College of Engineering; and |
|
WHEREAS, During his years at Sharpstown High School, Michael |
|
Julian has earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and |
|
classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |
|
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Michael Julian, salutatorian of |
|
the Sharpstown High School Class of 2015, and extend to him sincere |
|
best wishes for continued success as he begins the next exciting |
|
chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Julian as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
