R E S O L U T I O N
|
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Hondo High School FFA land |
|
|
judging team distinguished themselves at the National Land and |
|
|
Range Judging Contest on May 7, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Competing against 98 other top squads from across |
|
|
the country, the group emerged as reserve national champions in the |
|
|
FFA land judging category; participants were required to accurately |
|
|
determine and calculate a number of factors and consider their |
|
|
impact on the suitability of a site for establishing an |
|
|
agricultural production; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Hondo team included April Molitor, Andrew |
|
|
Essenburgh, Cole Bendele, Rees Saathoff, and Pete Rochat, and they |
|
|
were ably guided by their advisors, Tim Tatsch, Rodger Welch, and |
|
|
Warren Beard; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, With their fine showing at the National Land and |
|
|
Range Judging Contest, the members of the Hondo High School FFA land |
|
|
judging team have brought credit to their school, and they may take |
|
|
justifiable pride in the talent and dedication they have |
|
|
demonstrated; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the Hondo High School FFA land |
|
|
judging team on its reserve championship win at the National Land |
|
|
and Range Judging Contest and extend to its members sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
