R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Kathy Bieser, principal of International School of |
|
|
the Americas in the North East Independent School District, was |
|
|
selected as one of five finalists in the Principal Secondary |
|
|
category of the 2015 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In cooperation with the Texas Association of School |
|
|
Administrators, the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards celebrate |
|
|
public school professionals whose leadership and commitment |
|
|
inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and |
|
|
abilities; as a finalist, Kathy Bieser earned a $1,000 prize, and |
|
|
her school received a $2,500 grant; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Bieser previously won an H-E-B Excellence in |
|
|
Education Award as a social studies and world geography teacher at |
|
|
International School of the Americas, a magnet school; before her |
|
|
appointment as principal in 2007, she served as assistant |
|
|
principal; she completed her bachelor's degree at Trinity |
|
|
University and went on to graduate from its Master of Arts in |
|
|
Teaching program; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The education of young Texans is of paramount |
|
|
importance to the future of the Lone Star State, and throughout her |
|
|
career, Kathy Bieser has set high standards to which all in her |
|
|
profession may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kathy Bieser on her selection as a |
|
|
finalist in the 2015 H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success in her |
|
|
important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Bieser as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
