R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Shady Acres in Newton celebrated its 50th
  anniversary on February 7, 2015; and
         WHEREAS, Established in 1965 by Dr. Clint Hines and Betty
  Hines, Shady Acres offers long-term skilled nursing care, along
  with rehabilitation and occupational therapy for patients
  recuperating from an illness; dedicated to ministering to its
  residents and their families, the center also runs Church Alive on
  its grounds, where Dr. Hines continues to deliver a sermon every
  Sunday; and
         WHEREAS, Operated today by its founders' children, Nathan and
  David Hines, the family business is the largest private employer in
  the town of Newton and the second largest in the county; and
         WHEREAS, For half a century, Shady Acres has provided comfort
  and security to area senior citizens as well as rehabilitation to
  patients on the road to recovery, and its long and notable record of
  service is truly deserving of recognition; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the 50th anniversary of Shady Acres
  and extend to all those associated with the facility sincere best
  wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Hines family as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
