R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Edgar and Rena Luedeker of Waco |
|
|
celebrated their 74th wedding anniversary on May 3, 2015; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Edgar Luedeker and the former Rena Belle Andrews |
|
|
were united in matrimony in Oglesby in 1941; through the years, |
|
|
their family has grown to include a daughter, Betty Jo Luedeker |
|
|
Gatlin, and two grandsons, Brad and Coley Gatlin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. and |
|
|
Mrs. Luedeker have been valued congregants of Zion Lutheran Church |
|
|
in McGregor since 1944; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
seven and a half decades, this devoted husband and wife have |
|
|
remained constant in their commitment to each other, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Edgar and Rena Luedeker on their |
|
|
74th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
