R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
passing of Laura Aurelia Rietz of Brenham on May 10, 2015, at the |
|
age of 83; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Laura Kaase was born on December 7, 1931, |
|
to Alfred and Aurelia Kaase in La Grange; she married Harold G. |
|
Rietz in 1950, and the couple went on to share 65 years together; |
|
they were blessed with three children, Patty, Brenda, and Larry; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Rietz worked as an interior decorator for |
|
Montgomery Ward and was later employed at Hermann Furniture in |
|
Brenham; a woman of strong faith, she was also a valued congregant |
|
of Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Laura Aurelia Rietz is deeply missed, |
|
memories of her ready smile, her selflessness, and her optimism |
|
remain to comfort and inspire those she leaves behind; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Laura Aurelia Rietz |
|
and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Harold Rietz; to her children, Patty Barter and her |
|
husband, Bud, Brenda Purser and her husband, Stan, and Larry Rietz |
|
and his wife, Camille; to her grandchildren, Briana and Forrest |
|
Purser, Travis Barter, Lauren Rietz, Jeanie Derdeyn, and Nicholas |
|
Gayle; to her sister, Mildred Bohac, and her husband, Ben; to her |
|
sister-in-law, Josie Kaase; and to her other relatives and friends; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Laura |
|
Rietz. |
