R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Juan G. Silva of San Antonio, who passed away on March 11, 2015, |
|
at the age of 81; and |
|
WHEREAS, John Silva was born on February 16, 1934, to Juanita |
|
and Pedro Silva in San Antonio; after serving in the United States |
|
Army, he began a distinguished career in civil service at Kelly Air |
|
Force Base; and |
|
WHEREAS, In retirement, Mr. Silva enjoyed traveling with his |
|
wife of 49 years, Elizabeth, and visiting with his three children, |
|
Joseph, Michael, and Angela, and five grandchildren; he also liked |
|
listening to music and gardening, and he was a valued member of |
|
St. Paul's Catholic Church; and |
|
WHEREAS, A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, John |
|
Silva brightened the world with his kindness and his ready smile, |
|
and those who were fortunate enough to know him will forever hold |
|
him close in their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Juan G. Silva and |
|
extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
Elizabeth J. Silva; to his children, Joseph Silva and his wife, |
|
Margaret, Michael Silva, and Angela Miller and her husband, David; |
|
to his grandchildren, Jack, Zachary, Matthew, Mia, and Ruben; and |
|
to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of John Silva. |
