R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Elie Wu has ably served her fellow Texans as a |
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu |
|
during the 84th Legislative Session; and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Wu has provided vital |
|
assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks; in |
|
addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained |
|
valuable experience in the field of public service; during her |
|
tenure, she has worked on two of Representative Wu's bills and |
|
reviewed policy in a number of important areas, while also |
|
contributing her writing talents to communications projects; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Wu is a graduate of The University of Texas at |
|
Austin, where she earned a bachelor's degree in rhetoric and |
|
writing honors and Portuguese; she served her peers as a leader in |
|
the UT Sciences Toastmasters Club, and she was an active member of |
|
the UT Liberal Arts Council; outside of her scholastic activities, |
|
she has been a dedicated volunteer with the Austin Children's |
|
Shelter and Caritas of Austin; and |
|
WHEREAS, This noteworthy Texan has performed her duties as a |
|
legislative aide with skill and dedication, and she is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Elie Wu for her service as a legislative |
|
aide in the office of State Representative Gene Wu and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Wu as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
