R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The 100th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |
|
cause for celebration, and Grace B. Hudgins of Woodville is marking |
|
this momentous milestone in her life on June 4, 2015; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in 1915, Grace Hudgins benefited her community |
|
for many years as a volunteer for the Tyler County Hospital |
|
Auxiliary; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of deep religious faith, she has been active |
|
in Sojourners for Christ, and she has served her congregation at the |
|
Woodville Church of Christ as a Sunday school teacher; and |
|
WHEREAS, Grace Hudgins is an inspiration to all who have the |
|
good fortune to know her, and her 100th birthday offers a welcome |
|
opportunity to remind her of the special place she holds in the |
|
hearts of her loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Grace B. Hudgins on her 100th |
|
birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Hudgins as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
