R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Those young people who give of their time and |
|
talents to assist in the demanding work of the Texas Legislature are |
|
truly deserving of our gratitude and admiration, and Alycia Welch |
|
is one such individual; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Welch served as a legislative intern in the |
|
office of State Representative Elliott Naishtat from January to |
|
June 2015, and her commitment, ambition, and quick wit were greatly |
|
appreciated by her colleagues; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Dexter, Michigan, Ms. Welch holds |
|
degrees in political science and women's studies from the |
|
University of Michigan and master's degrees in social work and |
|
public policy from The University of Texas at Austin; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although her coworkers are sorry to see her tenure |
|
end, they share her excitement in a future that is bright with |
|
promise; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Alycia Welch for her service as a |
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Elliott |
|
Naishtat and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Welch as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
