R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Constance Ramirez Hollie-Jawaid has served with |
|
|
distinction as a Democratic Party precinct chair in Dallas County; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Precinct chairs are integral to the success of their |
|
|
party's mission to elect public servants who will build a better |
|
|
state and nation for today's citizenry and for generations to come; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Because public policy affects our daily lives, |
|
|
citizens must exercise their right to vote, and precinct chairs |
|
|
play an important role in the election process; their efforts to |
|
|
inspire voters to support their party's candidates are part of a |
|
|
proud and vital political tradition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, It is most appropriate that we take this opportunity |
|
|
to recognize an outstanding Texan who has devoted time and energy |
|
|
toward promoting the Democratic Party goals of representing the |
|
|
interests of working families, fighting for equal opportunities, |
|
|
and advancing a more inclusive society; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Constance Ramirez Hollie-Jawaid for |
|
|
serving as a Democratic Party precinct chair in Dallas County and |
|
|
extend to this dedicated community leader sincere best wishes for |
|
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Constance Ramirez Hollie-Jawaid as an expression of |
|
|
high regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
