R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jeanette Lachman has ably served her fellow Texans
  as an intern in the office of State Representative Poncho Nevárez
  during the 84th Legislative Session; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Ms. Lachman has provided
  vital assistance in handling a wide variety of challenging tasks;
  in addition to learning more about the legislative process and the
  issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, she has gained
  valuable experience in the field of public service; she served as a
  staff member for the Natural Resources Committee, researching and
  preparing bills for committee hearings, and she also assisted in
  the work of the Local & Consent Calendars Committee; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Jordan and Madeleine Lachman,
  Jeanette Lachman is in her junior year at The University of Texas at
  Austin, where she is studying government in preparation for a
  career in public policy; she is active with Amnesty International
  and cooperative student living; and
         WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her
  duties as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and she is
  indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Jeanette Lachman for her service as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Poncho
  Nevárez and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
  in all her endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Lachman as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
