R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Brianna Menard of Cedar Park has ably served her |
|
|
fellow Texans as a legislative assistant in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Poncho Nevárez during the 84th Legislative Session; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the representative's team, Ms. Menard |
|
|
has provided vital assistance in handling a wide variety of |
|
|
challenging tasks, including serving as a staff member for the |
|
|
Homeland Security and Public Safety Committee and preparing and |
|
|
organizing resolution requests; in addition to learning more about |
|
|
the legislative process and the issues facing citizens of the Lone |
|
|
Star State, she has gained valuable experience in the field of |
|
|
public service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Matt and Marisela |
|
|
Menard, Ms. Menard is a sophomore at The University of Texas at |
|
|
Austin, where she is pursuing a bachelor's degree in government; |
|
|
she is active in campus life as a member of Students Against Cruelty |
|
|
to Animals and the Texas Darlins, which she serves as recruitment |
|
|
chair, and she further distinguishes herself as a J. J. Pickle |
|
|
Undergraduate Research Fellow; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has performed her |
|
|
duties as a legislative assistant with skill and dedication, and |
|
|
she is indeed deserving of special recognition for her fine work; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Brianna Menard for her service as a |
|
|
legislative assistant in the office of State Representative Poncho |
|
|
Nevárez and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success |
|
|
in all her endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Menard as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
