R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mallory Dotson of Deweyville High School achieved |
|
|
great distinction by winning a bronze medal in the Class 3A girls' |
|
|
discus throw at the 2015 UIL Track & Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 16, Ms. Dotson turned in a |
|
|
notable performance, recording a distance of 128 feet, 10 inches, |
|
|
to claim third place in the event; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for |
|
|
high school track and field athletes, Mallory Dotson has ably |
|
|
represented her school, and she will cherish her memories of this |
|
|
outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mallory Dotson on her third-place |
|
|
finish in the Class 3A girls' discus throw at the 2015 UIL Track & |
|
|
Field State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Dotson as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
