R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Emir Oliverio Zamudio has been named valedictorian |
|
|
of the Class of 2015 at Sharpstown International School in Houston, |
|
|
and he indeed merits special recognition for receiving this |
|
|
significant honor; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; in securing his place as the top |
|
|
ranking student in his class, Mr. Zamudio demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and his attainment of |
|
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
|
high school career; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Zamudio also participated in numerous |
|
|
extracurricular activities, including soccer, student council, and |
|
|
The Woods Project; he plans to continue his education at the |
|
|
University of Houston, where he will study accounting or mechanical |
|
|
engineering; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, During his years at Sharpstown International |
|
|
School, Emir Zamudio has earned the respect and admiration of his |
|
|
teachers and classmates, and his exceptional scholastic ability and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and |
|
|
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Emir Oliverio Zamudio, |
|
|
valedictorian of the Class of 2015 at Sharpstown International |
|
|
School in Houston, and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success as he begins the next exciting chapter of his |
|
|
life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Zamudio as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
