R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Three students from the University of North Texas
  are providing valuable support to the 84th Texas Legislature as
  members of the NTDC Internship Program; and
         WHEREAS, The NTDC Program was initiated in 2003 to allow
  highly qualified students at UNT the chance to participate
  first-hand in the American political process; to date, the program
  has placed more than 135 students in congressional and federal
  agency internships, and this year, it began offering internship
  opportunities with the state legislature; and
         WHEREAS, The talented class of NTDC interns for 2015 includes
  Paige Higerd, who is serving in the office of Representative Myra
  Crownover, Katrina Smith, who is serving in the office of Senator
  Craig Estes, and Alyssa Wolverton, who is serving in the office of
  Representative Drew Springer; and
         WHEREAS, Through their involvement in the NTDC Program, these
  students have gained worthwhile insight into the legislative
  process and a broader understanding of issues facing citizens of
  the Lone Star State, and it is a pleasure to recognize them for
  their contributions; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Paige Higerd, Katrina Smith, and Alyssa
  Wolverton for the hard work and commitment they have demonstrated
  as interns during the 84th Legislative Session and extend to them
  sincere best wishes for continued success in all their endeavors;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
  for Ms. Higerd, Ms. Smith, and Ms. Wolverton as an expression of
  high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
