R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The members of the Burkeville High School boys' |
|
|
4 x 200 meter relay team achieved great distinction by |
|
|
participating in the 2015 University Interscholastic League Track & |
|
|
Field State Meet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at |
|
|
Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 15, Reginald Marsh, JaDarious |
|
|
Spikes, Donovan Wysinger, and Jerry Hartsfield gave a fine showing |
|
|
in the Class 1A 4 x 200 meter relay event, clocking in at 1 minute |
|
|
and 32.39 seconds to finish in fourth place overall; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By earning the right to compete among some of the |
|
|
elite track & field athletes in the Lone Star State, these fine |
|
|
young Texans have ably represented their school, and they may |
|
|
indeed reflect with pride on their notable accomplishments; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the Burkeville High |
|
|
School boys' relay team on participating in the Class 1A 4 x 200 |
|
|
meter relay at the 2015 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to |
|
|
them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
