R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Olivia Ramsey has been named valedictorian of the
  Class of 2015 at Humble High School, and she indeed merits special
  recognition for receiving this significant honor; and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; in securing her place as the top
  student in her class, Ms. Ramsey demonstrated a thorough
  understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of
  this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable
  high school career; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to the pride inherent in being
  recognized for her hard work, Ms. Ramsey has gained the opportunity
  to address her fellow seniors at commencement and to reflect on
  their shared history as well as their hopes and ambitions; she has
  received a number of scholarships from organizations such as the
  Humble PTA and Rotary Club International, and she plans to continue
  her education by studying mechanical engineering and mathematics;
  and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Tracey and Craig Ramsey, Olivia
  Ramsey has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and
  classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment
  to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future
  for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Olivia Ramsey, valedictorian of
  the Class of 2015 at Humble High School, and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting
  chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Ramsey as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
