R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Kristen Rosenthal has been named valedictorian of |
|
the Class of 2015 at Kingwood Park High School in Kingwood, and she |
|
indeed merits special recognition for receiving this significant |
|
honor; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; in securing her place as the top |
|
ranking student in her class, Ms. Rosenthal demonstrated a thorough |
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of |
|
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable |
|
high school career; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Rosenthal is a National Merit Finalist, a member |
|
of the cross-country track team, and president and cofounder of the |
|
Science National Honor Society chapter; she will be attending Texas |
|
A&M University to study chemical engineering, and she is the |
|
recipient of a total of $92,000 in scholarship money, including a |
|
National Merit Scholarship and a Craig and Galen Brown Foundation |
|
Scholarship; and |
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Rick and Dana Rosenthal, Kristen |
|
Rosenthal has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and |
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and commitment |
|
to excellence have opened the way to a bright and promising future |
|
for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kristen Rosenthal, valedictorian |
|
of the Kingwood Park High School Class of 2015, and extend to her |
|
sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next |
|
exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Rosenthal as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
